The HighLights

Welcome, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for visiting my site so you can see what I can do for your wedding as your DJ. I'm would consider myself to be the top authority in the world on DJing weddings, since I have from the very beginning decided to specialize in only weddings. This has allowed me to focus all my attention and growth as in this area, so this has allowed me to be the top in my profession and the most knowledgeable and the most successful at making weddings the best they possibly can be. If you want the most successful experience on your wedding day, then I'm here to help.

The Way I Operate My Service

I do all my own work unlike the most DJs who book the same dates repeadidly and normally neglect to tell couples that in reality they send out an ever changing group of guys that want to do a little DJ work for some extra cash.

The business owner tells couples that either he's going to be their DJ or that another experienced DJ that works with him is going to be, the problem is that they tell everyone this same story and by the time a couple's wedding day rolls around some couples end up with the unpleasant experience of getting whoever he can find to work all the extra weddings booked for that day. It's a crapshoot as to who ends up being your DJ and that's why I call this DJ switching, which is so common it's actually an
industrywide standard practice.

The DJs sent out are paid a small portion of the fee you pay to the main DJ, so in the end you pay for something you don't end up getting. It can be very risky hiring these DJs, that's if you're able to spot them because a number of them present themselves as though they work by themselves and DJ all their own work, when if fact they really don't.

When booking with me you won't experience this problem. On your wedding day it will be me showing up, period. When you book with me you get me. Additionally this is my one and only profession, not a part time side job like it is for others.

One Wedding Per Day

Most venues today have both morning-noon and evening-night weddings, which allows DJs to perform two weddings per day if they're able to book two, even with as little as an hour between them. Even though every DJ I've ever met does this, very few DJs will ever admit they do this since they know it's likely a couple would never hire them if they knew, because of the poor quality and punctuality that this standard industrywide practice causes.

The reason DJs do two weddings per day is so that they can offer a rate that's much lower than if they were to do only one per day. With this lowered rate they're able to book more weddings since it's such a strong lure for couples. With more bookings from lower rates DJs are able to have solid bookings every weekend which leads to making a lot more money by the end of the year.

Couples often overlook serious flaws DJs have, since they figure it's worth getting this lower rate. They are unknowingly paying for a DJ that has poor punctuality and is spending only half his focus and energy on their wedding that day. Both of these problems can prove very damaging to a wedding.

I'm unique in that I follow none of the industrywide standard practices all other DJs do, one being that I never would attempt to perform two weddings in one day, and since I only DJ weddings my perspective of what is ethical treatment of clients tends to be very high. I would never take the risk of having to stop the music early at the first wedding or show up late to the second, and also divert my energy, focus, and time, and spread myself too thin just to make more money.

Coordination

Because I have been specializing exclusively in weddings for over 20 years, I have the knowhow to skillfully guide your wedding in ways no other disc jockey can. You can relax and have fun by not having to worry about the next step of your reception, since I will be moving your reception along from start to completion by coordinating, announcing, and guiding your guest’s attention as planned.  I will notice things at your wedding that other disc jockeys won't and in turn be able to then make significant differences in maintaining the smooth progression of your reception. This is an extremely critical position to be in at a wedding and few disc jockeys are able to manage this as needed.

Music

I carry all genres of music and have a massive music library that’s constantly being added to. You can either select all of your own music by emailing me a list or you can select just a part of it and I will build on your selections by using my knowledge of music and developed skill at reading the crowd. If you select music I don’t have I will purchase the selections for my library. With me your music will be perfect; the styles and selections you two really want, while not playing music you don’t want.

Reliability and Punctualiy

I’ve never been late to a wedding in all my twenty years. With me couples get a 100% fail proof dependability and punctuality systems set in place. I’m an extremest when it comes to reliability, so I end up being very low stress. I arrive to the wedding location four to five hours before the music is scheduled to start (close by Starbucks or something similar). I then move to the actual wedding venue two to three hours prior to scheduled music start time. I consistently use this two-stage system for every single wedding in order to ensure absolute 100% punctuality.

Equipment

The equipment I use is the best pro sound equipment and suited perfectly for weddings. The look is very tasteful and the sound quality is amazing. I use the latest Apple Macbook pro computers with MegaSeg DJ software , super powerful and clear Pro JBL 800 watt speakers with 15” woofers, an eight channel Newmark mixer, and professional grade German engineered wireless microphones for toasting. I don’t skimp on quality, after all it’s your wedding, so the sound is clean, full, rich, live-like, and vibrant. The equipment is replaced on a regular basis to ensure dependability and aesthetics.

Lighting

Dance floor lighting is available if needed, however, most couples today aren’t interested in dance floor lighting since they feel it detracts from the look they want. Instead most couples opt for candle lit tables and dimmed room lighting, creating a nice tasteful ambiance.  If peripheral room up-lighting is needed, it’s advised you leave this to the specialists at the party equipment rental companies, since it is a touchy specialty because the wattage of the lights are 500 to 1000 watts and when several in a room are powered they are known to blow electrical circuits even in the newer hotels.

This brings up the fact that there are some low quality DJs today that use other types of services outside of what a DJ is in order to use as a lure to get hired, since they have a hard time getting hired on their work as a DJ alone. They use gimmicks such as peripheral room up-lighting and projectors for photo montages, which are normally provided by party equipment rental companies and photographers or videographers, since these relate to their area of specialty.

Helpful and Low Stress

I’m friendly, helpful, flexible, always accessible, and most importantly low stress. Many DJs end up being difficult to work with, not helpful, difficult to get hold of, and actually will increase your stress level before and on your wedding day. Unfortunately it’s not uncommon for couples to hire me days before their wedding because the DJ they hired will not return their calls or emails. All my calls go to my personal cell phone 24/7, so I’m always reachable, even on the day of your wedding. I also welcome texting.

An Expert to Call

A true wedding reception expert always at your fingertips for any help with questions about reception steps, timing or music. If you have a question about these things, I know the answer and your welcome to call at any time.

Behind The Scene

I spend a lot of time just running the basic functions of my business, but also a lot of time with a variety of pre-wedding work prior to each wedding. All this is behind the scene and not observable by the couples who hire me. Other DJs are known to just wing everything as they go and show up with little or no pre-wedding preparation, which unfortunately can ruin someone’s wedding day.

The Look

When I'm at a wedding it doesn't look as though a high school or club DJ and his equipment just landed in the middle of your wedding. It’s subtle, but my sound system and the way I dress look as though I should be the disc jockey at a wedding. The equipment is clean, updated, stylish, understated, the perfect size, and just perfect for your wedding venue’s look.

The look is up to date in every way, including the way I dress; not the typical goofy DJ look with an old black bow tie, white shirt and un-tailored jacket. I wear a professionally tailored black suit, black dress shirt, black dress shoes, and a strait regularly knotted tie that is neutral in color with a slight sheen to it. If you’re instead having a theme wedding, I dress accordingly.

Cocktail Hour and Dinner Music

The sound systems I use for these times can reach an exceptionally clean, full, rich, vibrant, live-like sound at this lower level, so the sounds is 100% better than if you were to use the hotel's or venue's in-house music system. I have some great ideas for music for these times on the Reception Planner where I grouped together artists to create themes that you can choose, or you can create your own play list. At these times I make sure the volume is at a comfortable level for guests so they can visit without discomfort of the music being too loud. However, if at any time you want the music quieter or louder let me know; it’s your wedding and I’m there to accommodate.

Multiple Sound Systems

I can set up in multiple areas at the same time. For instance, I can set up a sound system in one location for the ceremony, another in the cocktail hour area, while still having another system in another area ready for the reception. I can have as many as three computerized systems playing music at the same time, so that when guest’s transition from one part of your wedding to the other, the music continues.

Working With Vendors, Freinds and Family

You will be happy to know that I work extremely well with all coordinators, consultants, catering managers, photographers, and family members and friends. I will make sure were all on track, orchestrate the stages, and help everyone involved work together so your reception will come together. It's not unusual for me to catch things that many consultants and coordinators don’t catch. This will make a difference, since the MC is the person guiding your guests with announcements and thus the person who is driving your wedding from beginning to conclusion.

Recommendations

I have to bring up the fact that I see many DJ companies and DJs that come highly recommend by some couples, websites, location managers or other wedding vendors. Some of the most highly recommended are DJs that I know in reality have overall very bad reputations. How they can come highly recommended I don't know? If you have an idea or find out why I'd like to know, but just take heed that this is the case and those that use recommendations as their reasoning on who to hire could be receiving a false sense of security by thinking they're making a wise decision when if fact their not. More than anything else, I recommend using your own personal intuition.

Fees and What is Covered

It's critical to remember that compared to other DJs, with me you receive a different service in absolutely every way. Comparing my service to other DJ's services really is like comparing apples to oranges, so it's not actually possible to compare the two since they're really both completely different types of services with completely different features or products, and most importantly with a different outcome.

My rates aren't listed because they're adjusted somewhat according to demand for a particular date, such as accounting for the day of week and time of year. Other additional factors are consider, such as number of sound systems and number of hours music is needed. Talking on the phone is necessary to cover all the factors and details, so I'm able to quote the correct fee. I look forward to speaking with you.
