The Highlights Welcome, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for visiting my site so you can see what I can do for your wedding as your DJ. I'm would consider myself to be the top authority in the world on DJing weddings, since I have from the very beginning decided to specialize in only weddings. This has allowed me to focus all my attention and growth as in this area, so this has allowed me to be the top in my profession and the most knowledgeable and the most successful at making weddings the best they possibly can be. If you want the most successful experience on your wedding day, then I'm here to help.
Satisfaction Guarantee
I offer a total satisfaction guarantee. I treat each and every wedding with the highest care possible. I am so confident of my track recored of providing all couples with the best in dependability and quality, that I'm willing to back it up with a 100% money back guarantee.
They say the DJ with the music, announcing, and coordination will either make or break a wedding more than anything else. Since other DJs won't guarantee their work, this should be of great concern to you. The only reason a DJ wouldn't guarantee his work is because he knows too often couples are upset with the way he treated their wedding.
There's absolutely no reason for you to take a chance in hiring other DJs that can ruin your once-in-a-lifetime day. Please take some time and read down the sections on this page to see why the service I offer is so different. Helpful and Low Stress
Throughout the years I’ve helped so many out of state couples that have had destination weddings here in So Cal, that it has caused me to perfectly streamlined my service so that everything from getting to know my service prior to booking, to all wedding preparation can be conducted remotely by phone and electronically. This benefit is appreciated by local So Cal couples too, since it's such a big energy and time saver and also allows for better ease of use and flexibility with both prior to booking and throughout the planning stages, since these things are more of something that is a process than something that can be conducted or put together in a 30 minute meeting.
I’m friendly, helpful, flexible, always accessible, and most importantly low stress. Many DJs end up being difficult to work with, not helpful, difficult to get hold of, and actually will increase your stress level before and on your wedding day. Additionally, it’s not uncommon for couples to hire me a day or two before their wedding because the DJ they originally hired is MIA. Their DJ they hired will not pick up their calls and will not respond to their voice mails or emails.
With me you get a true wedding expert always at your fingertips for any help with questions about reception steps, timing or music. If you have a question about these things, I know the answer and you're welcome to call at any time.
All my calls including my 800 number go to my personal cell phone 24/7, so I’m always reachable even on the day of your wedding. I also welcome texting.
Reviews, References and DJ Demo Videos
All DJs have great reviews and references from couples, location managers, and other wedding vendors. You can get great reviews and references from all DJs, including all the DJs that have very bad reputations and provide flawed inconsistent unpredictable service.
How is it that DJs can give you great reviews and references even if they have flawed inconsistent service? It's because DJs use friends, family, hand picked brides and grooms and vendors to vouch for them and give them stellar recommendations. They're known to encourage only the couples who were satisfied with their service to post reviews, not the one's that weren't. Additionally, if couples post negative reviews of a DJ, sites such as weddingwire and others will remove these negative reviews with any simple excuse by the DJ of why they weren't deserved. Because of these issues, reviews and references are not a reliable indicator to go by.
Some DJs provide highly edited demo videos of themselves showing only 5 minutes or less of their work, which can't show consistency. Lastly another gimmick used by many DJs with not so great reputations is to tout goofy meaningless awards given to them by the websites they've paid to be on.
The number one thing to focus on when hiring a DJ is consistency since it's crucial in protecting your wedding, because It only takes one time of mistakes or poor dependability to destroy a once in a lifetime event that weddings are. Meaningless awards, a hand full of names and numbers of positive references, some positive reviews, or a short edited demo video in no way can show you consistency of quality and dependability and actually will cause some couples to make the misjudgment of hiring a DJ that they wish they hadn't of.
The information I provided is done in a way that allows couples with good intuition to reach the conclusion that I'm unique in that I have 100% consistency at providing total quality and total dependability. With me you get rock solid 100% consistency, so your wedding will be safe with me helping you. Dependability and Punctuality
I’ve never been late to a wedding in all my twenty years. With me couples get a 100% fail proof dependability and punctuality systems set in place. I’m an extremest when it comes to reliability, so I end up being very low stress.
I arrive in the area where the wedding is located four to five hours before the music is scheduled to start (close by Starbucks or something similar). I then move to the actual wedding venue two to three hours prior to scheduled music start time, even though setting up the equipment is only 45 minutes. This allows me many hours of lead-way time if there were to be some sort of hold up. I consistently use this two-stage system for every single wedding in order to ensure absolute 100% punctuality. Personally DJing all Weddings
An industrywide standard practice is for DJs to book the same dates repeadidly and then send other DJs to the weddings they've booked. Many DJs hide the fact that they send out an ever changing group of guys that just want to do a little DJ work for some extra cash.
The main DJ tells couples that either he's going to be their DJ or that another experienced DJ that works with him will. The problem is that they tell everyone this and by the time a couple's wedding day rolls around some of the couples end up with the unpleasant experience of getting whoever the main DJ can dig up to cover all the bookings for that day. It's a real crapshoot as to who ends up being your DJ with most DJ companies and that's why I call this DJ switching.
These DJs that are sent out are paid a small fee, so unfortunately many couples don't realize that their wedding is being run by a guy who is getting paid very little, which is not a good motivator to do a good job. It's risky hiring these DJ companies, that's if you're able to spot them since a number of DJs present themselves as though they do all their own work when if fact they don't.
When booking with me you won't experience this problem. On your wedding day it will be me showing up, period. When you book with me you get me. Additionally this is my one and only profession, not a part time side job like it is for others. One Wedding Per Day
Many venues have morning-noon and evening-night weddings, which allows DJs to perform two weddings per day. Even though every single DJ I've ever met will book two wedding in one day for themselves or other DJs that work with them, very few will admit it since they know couples would never hire them for their wedding if they knew.
The reason DJs do two weddings per day is so that they can offer a rate that's lower than if they were to do only one per day. This reduced rate is such a strong lure for couples that DJs end up with solid bookings every weekend, which leads to making more money by the end of the year.
Couples unknowingly end up paying for a DJ that has questionable punctuality running from wedding to wedding with sometimes as little as an hour between the two, and a DJ who's spending only half his focus and energy on their wedding that day. Both of these problems can prove very damaging to a wedding.
I'm unique in that I follow none of the industrywide standard practices, one being that I never would attempt to perform two weddings in one day. Since I strictly only DJ weddings my perspective of what is ethical tends to be very high. Music
I carry all genres of music and have a massive music library that’s constantly being added to. You can either select all of your own music by emailing me a list or you can select just a part of it and I will build on your selections by using my knowledge of music and developed skill at reading the crowd. If you select music I don’t have I will purchase the selections for my library. With me your music will be perfect; the styles and selections you two really want, while not playing music you don’t want. Equipment
The equipment I use is the best pro sound equipment and suited perfectly for weddings. The look is very tasteful and the sound quality is amazing. I use the latest Apple Macbook pro computers with MegaSeg DJ software , super powerful and clear Pro JBL 800 watt speakers with 15” woofers, an eight channel Newmark mixer, and professional grade German engineered wireless microphones for toasting. I don’t skimp on quality, after all it’s your wedding, so the sound is clean, full, rich, live-like, and vibrant. The equipment is replaced on a regular basis to ensure dependability and aesthetics. Coordination
Because I have been specializing exclusively in weddings for over 20 years, I have the knowhow to skillfully guide your wedding in ways no other disc jockey can. You can relax and have fun by not having to worry about the next step of your reception, since I will be moving your reception along from start to completion by coordinating, announcing, and guiding your guest’s attention as planned. I will notice things at your wedding that other disc jockeys won't and in turn be able to then make significant differences in maintaining the smooth progression of your reception. This is an extremely critical position to be in at a wedding and few disc jockeys are able to manage this as needed. The Look
When I set up at a wedding it doesn't look as though a high school or club DJ and his equipment just landed in the middle of your wedding. It’s subtle, but my sound system and the way I dress look as though I should be the disc jockey at a wedding. The equipment is clean, updated, stylish, understated, the perfect size, and just perfect for your wedding venue’s look.
The look is up to date in every way, including the way I dress; not the typical goofy DJ look such as with a crooked black bow tie, white shirt and un-tailored jacket. Instead I wear a professionally tailored black suit, black dress shirt, black dress shoes, and a strait regularly knotted tie that is neutral in color (silver/gray) with a slight sheen to it. If you’re instead having a theme wedding, I dress accordingly. Cocktail Hour and Dinner Music
The sound systems I use for these times can reach an exceptionally clean, full, rich, vibrant, live-like sound at this lower level, so the sound much better than if you were to use the hotel's or venue's in-house music system. I have some great ideas for music for these times on the Reception Planner where I grouped together artists to create themes that you can choose, or you can create your own play list. At these times I make sure the volume is at a comfortable level for guests so they can visit without discomfort of the music being too loud. However, if at any time you want the music quieter or louder let me know; it’s your wedding and I’m there to accommodate. Multiple Sound Systems
I can have as many as three computerized systems playing music at the same time, so that when guest’s transition from one part of your wedding to the other, the music continues.
For instance, I can set up a sound system in one location for the ceremony, another in the cocktail hour area, while still having another system in another area ready for the reception. These three different sound systems look appropriate for their individual uses. Working With Vendors, Friends and Family
You will be happy to know that I work extremely well with all coordinators, consultants, catering managers, photographers, and family members and friends. I will make sure were all on track, orchestrate the stages, and help everyone involved work together so your reception will come together. It's not unusual for me to catch things that many consultants and coordinators don’t catch. This will make a difference, since the MC is the person guiding your guests with announcements and thus the person who is driving your wedding from beginning to conclusion. Behind The Scene
I spend a lot of time just running the basic functions of my business, but also a lot of time with a variety of pre-wedding work prior to each wedding. All this is behind the scene and not observable by the couples who hire me. Other DJs are known to just wing everything as they go and show up with little or no pre-wedding preparation, which unfortunately can ruin someone’s wedding day. Fees and What is Covered
It's critical to remember that compared to other DJs, with me you receive a different service in absolutely every way. Comparing my service to other DJ's services really is like comparing apples to oranges, so it's not actually possible to compare the two because they're both completely different types of services with completely different features and most importantly different outcomes.
My rates aren't listed because they're adjusted somewhat according to demand for a particular date, such as accounting for the day of the week and time of year. Other additional factors are consider, such as number of sound systems and number of hours music would be needed. Talking on the phone is necessary to cover all the factors and details, so I'm able to quote the correct fee. I look forward to speaking with you. Who Hires Me For Their Wedding
There are 3 Types of couples who get married:
1. The 1st type of couples have very little if anything that really bothers them; they are satisfied with just about anything they get. Some might say they are a little pollyannaish. They can hire a DJ that ends up doing just about everything wrong, yet at the end of their wedding these couples are happier than you can imagine. Little do they know that in reality even though they rave about their DJ, they are extremely lucky their DJ even showed up on their wedding day, wasn't an hour or two late, or didn't cancel the day before their wedding.
2. The 2nd type of couples are the most common, they feel the quality of their DJ is very important. They feel the type of music they get matters, how smooth their wedding runs matters, how dependable their DJ is matters, but after all this they unknowingly hire a DJ that in fact will not pull these things off and in turn ends up ruining their wedding. These couples too are extremely lucky that their DJ even showed up on their wedding day, wasn't an hour or two late, or didn't cancel the day before their wedding. Then again, with their DJ being such a disaster they may have been much better off with just an iPod.
For these couples, even though they start out feeling that the quality of their DJ is their top concern, at the end they don't end up with quality. Because of how expensive weddings can get, what tips the scales on their decision making ends up being what a DJ charges, but in hindsight it is the fee DJs charge that can often be the tell-tell sign that something was wrong and that they have hired an average to below average DJ. An average DJ (average priced DJ), even though they may disguise themselves to not look so average, is a generic low quality low dependability DJ.
At the end, these couples feel ripped off after their wedding. These couples didn't realize how much work is involved for a DJ to do the job right, how much it costs to run this type of service, how little a DJ makes after overhead and taxes, and the fact that there are only so many days in a year/week that people have weddings. All this greatly limits how much a DJ can make per year and why they always cut corners and do things that can jeopardize weddings. There is a clear limit on how low a fee a DJ can charge if he is to provide a decent quality dependable service.
3. Lastly the 3rd type of couples are couples that feel the quality of their DJ is of upmost importance. They, just like the 2nd type of couples, feel the type music they get matters, how smooth their wedding runs matters, how dependable their DJ is matters, and they realize the DJ really will make or break their wedding day unlike anything else. These are the 1 in 20 with sharp intuition that can see through the fog and confusion that is the DJ industry. These are the couples that hire me.
