    Coordination 

    Because I have been specializing exclusively in weddings for over 20 years, I have the know how to skillfully guide your wedding in ways no other disc jockey can. You can relax and have fun by not having to worry about the next step of your reception since I will be moving your reception along from start to finish by coordinating, announcing, and guiding your guest’s attention as planned.  I will notice things at your wedding that other disc jockeys will not and in turn be able to then make significant differences in maintaining the smooth progression of your reception.  This is a critical position to be in at a wedding and most disc jockeys are not able to manage this as needed.  

     

     

    Music 

    I carry all genres of music and have a massive music library that’s constantly being added to.    You can either select all of your own music by emailing me a list or you can select just a part of it and I will build on your selections by using my knowledge of music and developed skill at reading the crowd.  If you select music I don’t have I will buy the selections for my library.  With me your music will be perfect; the styles and selections you two really want, while not playing  music you don’t want.   

     

     

     

    Equipment

    The equipment I use is the best pro sound equipment and suited perfectly for weddings.  The look is very tasteful and the sound quality is amazing.  I use the latest Macbook pro 15” computers with MegaSeg DJ , super powerful and clear Pro JBL 800 watt speakers with 15” woofers, an eight channel Newmark mixer, and professional grade German engineered wireless microphones.  I don’t skimp on quality, after all it’s your wedding, so the sound is clean, full, rich, live-like, and vibrant.  The equipment is replaced on a regular basis to ensure dependability and aesthetics.

     

     

     

     

    Microphones 

    A wireless handheld microphone will be provided for toasting and anything else you might need it for. The microphones I used is of the highest quality with excellent dynamic range, superb feedback rejection, and high sensitivity for optimal pick-up and clarity.

     

     

    Lighting  

    It’s important to note that most couples today aren’t interested in dance lighting since it detracts from a nice tasteful ambiance.  Instead most couples have candle lit tables and dimmed room lighting, creating a nice tasteful ambiance for the night.  If indirect up-lighting is needed, it’s advised you leave this to party rental companies, since it is a touchy speciality since the wattage of the lights are 500 to 1000 watts and when several in a room are powered they are known to possibly blow electrical circuits. 

     

     

    The Look 

    With me it won’t look like a high school DJ or a lounge singer and their DJ system just landed in the middle of your wedding. It’s subtle, but my sound system and the way I dress look as though I should be at a wedding.  The equipment is clean, updated, stylish, understated, and just perfect for your wedding venue’s look. I wear a professionally tailored black suit, black dress shirt, black dress shoes, and a strait regularly knotted tie that is neutral in color with a slight sheen to it.  If you’re instead having a theme wedding, I’ll dress accordingly. 

     

     

     

    Dependability 

    I’ve never been late to a wedding in all my twenty years. With me couples get a 100% fail proof dependability and punctuality systems set in place. I’m an extremest when it comes to reliability, so I end up being very low stress. I arrive to the wedding location four to five hours before the music is scheduled to start (close by Starbucks or something similar). I then move to the actual wedding venue two and a half, to three hours prior to scheduled music start time. I consistently use this two-stage system for every single wedding in order to ensure absolute 100% punctuality.

    Helpful and Low Stress

     

    I’m friendly, helpful, flexible, always accessible, and most importantly low stress. Many DJs end up being difficult to work with, not helpful, difficult to get hold of, and actually will increase your stress level before and on your wedding day.  Unfortunately it’s not uncommon for couples to hire me days before their wedding because the DJ they hired will not return their calls or emails. All my calls go to my personal cell phone 24/7, so I’m always reachable, even the day of your wedding.  I also welcome texting.  

     

     

     

    An Expert to Call

      

    A true wedding reception expert always at your fingertips for any help with questions about reception steps, timing or music. If you have a question about these things, I know the answer and your welcome to call at any time.     

     

     

     

    One Wedding per Day

     

    I will not perform two weddings per day since I would never take the risk of having to stop the music early at the first wedding or show up late to the second wedding.   All other DJs I know do two weddings per day if their able to get two, even with as little as an hour between the two. Many venues today have both morning noon and evening night weddings booked.  This is one of the many ways some DJs are able to charge low fees. Their reliability and punctuality suffers from this standard practice they all follow.

     

     

     

    DJ Switching

     

    The couples who hire me don’t end up with the surprise of another DJ showing up on their wedding day. It will be me helping you, period. Other DJs commonly send a different DJ to weddings, sometimes without notice.  A surprise most couples are very upset by since often these DJs sent have no idea of what the bride and groom want or what’s going on, they often don’t have all the requested music selections, and are mostly inexperienced.  One of many ways most DJs are able to charge a low fee.   

     

     

     

     

    Behind the Scene

     

    I spend a lot of time just running the basic functions of my business, but also a lot of time with pre-wedding prep work prior to each wedding.  All this is behind the scene and not observable by the couples who hire me.  Other DJs are known to just wing everything as they go and show up with little or no pre-wedding preparation, which unfortunately can ruin someone’s wedding day. 

     

     

     

    Planning Your Wedding

     

    On my site I have created the Reception Planner as a starting tool to get the process going.  Also after consulting with me we will have planned exactly what you want coordinated and announced and when they will be announced. 

     

     

     

    Multiple Sound systems 

    I can set up in multiple areas at the same time.  For instance, I can set up a sound system in one location for the ceremony, another in the cocktail hour area, while still having another system in another area ready for the reception. I can have as many as three computerized systems playing music at the same time, so that when guest’s transition from one part of your wedding to the other, the music continues.

     

     

    Working With Other Vendors   

    You will be happy to know that I work extremely well with all coordinators, consultants, catering managers, and photographers.   I will make sure were all on track and help them to make sure we are all working together.   I often even catch things that paid coordinators don’t catch.  This will make a difference since the person guiding your guests with announcements is the person driving your wedding from beginning to conclusion.

     

     

    Cocktail Hour and Dinner Music

      

    I keep the volume level during dinner and cocktail hour set at a perfect volume, where guests can still talk without the irritation of overly loud music. Guests wont have to yell to each other across their table or leave the room to talk. With my sound system I can reach an exceptionally clean, full, rich, vibrant, live-like sound at this lower level. DJs are known to not care if guests can talk and visit comfortably during cocktail hour and dinner.  If at any time you want the music quieter or louder let me know; it’s your wedding and I’m there to accommodate.  There are ideas for theme cocktail hour and dinner music on the Music Page.
