Will you conduct the announcements at our reception?

You can relax and have fun by not having to worrying about what the next step of your reception will be, since I will be moving your reception along from start to finish by coordinating, announcing, and guiding your guest’s attention as planned.  I have created the Reception Planner as a starting tool to get the process going.  You can call me at any time if you need some consulting about your reception or ceremony.

Can we give you music to play at our wedding?

Yes you can, but if it’s something I can buy on itunes or Amazon it’s easier usually for me to just buy the selections. However, if you have special music I can’t easily get, I will be happy to play any music you provide in mp3 format or on CD.

What type of music do you play?

I carry all types and genres of music and guarantee your special selections will be played and the music customized to your personal taste. Also, you can rest assured that the songs and style of music you don’t want played, will not be played. While selecting your music, keep in mind that you will likely have guests of all ages, so it's best to play music that is recognizable to most of your guests. If you select more current dance music, it’s often best if is played later in the reception. You can either specially select all of your own music or you can select just a few songs where I will build on your selections by using my knowledge of music and developed skill at reading the crowd.

“ What sets you apart from other disc jockeys?

I offer the best in dependably, punctuality, good taste, customized and personalized service, and unmatched weddings knowledge; the most important yet least likely qualities to find all together in a one disc jockey.   Since your wedding will be remembered as a once in a life time and life changing event and you only have one shot at things being done right that day, the right thing to do is to see that you assure yourself by having a disc jockey that is consistent at delivering the ideal and best service available.   The Wedding Secrets page explains in detail how what I offer is nothing like what other disc jockeys offer.

What is your style of announcing?

The style of announcing I provide is noticeably professional and classy.   There will never be any exaggerated lounge voice, tacky clichés, crude jokes, over-talking, or advertising over the mic of my name and my company name like other DJs do. I have a resonate voice and I keep the style warm and inviting, not like other DJ’s who sound more hype and self centered. I keep the message on point and don’t go off on tangents.

How will your wedding expertise help me with my wedding?

Because I have been disc jockeying and MCing weddings exclusively for over 20 years I am able to smoothly guide your wedding in ways no other DJ can. I will notice things at your wedding that other disc jockeys will not notice. If what I notice is within my grasp where I can make a difference in maintaining the smooth progression of your reception, you can be assured I will do it. I am very much into my craft and put myself in the shoes of my couples who hire me.

Do you have a wireless microphone for toasting?

A wireless handheld microphone will be provided at your reception for toasting. The microphone used is of the highest quality with excellent dynamic range, superb feedback rejection, and high sensitivity for optimal pick-up and clarity.   I will see that those who are to toast are handed the microphone.  Also, the microphone will be available for you two at any time during your wedding if you need it for any reason; singing, a reading, toasts, welcomes or anything else.

Can you set up and have music playing in two different areas, such as for the cocktail hour and reception?

I can set up in multiple area since there are numerous capabilities and options available with the sound equipment I provide. For instance, I can set up a music system in one location for a cocktail hour while still having another system in another area ready for the reception. I can have as many as three computerized systems playing music at the same time, so that when guest’s transition from one part of your wedding to the other, the music continues.  One thing to keep in mind for dance time, the closer I’m  stationed to the dance floor the better and if  there are going to be tables  close to my set up, you might want to have younger people  those seats, since many seniors have a hard time with  loud sounds.
