Wedding Ceremony Music

--Original Songs by The Original Artists
Today's Wedding Ceremonies

Do you have a song you feel reflects the unique person you are? Is there a singer, music artist, or band that makes you feel like you are in your zone? Is there a song that has personal meaning to you or your relationship that will make you two feel connected when it's played at such a special moment? A song that will make you feel comfortable at such an intensely emotional time? A song you know that will truly complement and reinforce the meaning of this special time for you two? Or just a song that you think would make the time fun and memorable for guests? If so, what I can do for you and your ceremony is something you're going to be extremely happy you've taken advantage of.

When songs are played as "cover songs" by musicians they often don't sound quite like they're suppose to and may even sound like a bad imitation of the original. Instead you could have the original song performed by the original artist played at your wedding ceremony by me. Everyone at your wedding ceremony will hear the song the way it was suppose to sound and you will hear it the way it was meant to be heard. Brides and grooms like the idea of being able to more personalize their wedding ceremony by having me play original songs performed by the original artists.

You will appreciate the beautiful brilliant sound of the music that comes through at this lower volume level with my wedding ceremony sound system. Because of the incredible clarity and live-like dynamic range of my professional audio equipment selected exclusively for wedding ceremonies and the high quality of today's music recordings, couples are happy they made the choice to have me provide their ceremony music instead of any other option.

The fact that I have been playing music exclusively for weddings for over twenty years makes me a very unique disc jockey and has allowed me more of an opportunity than other disc jockeys to becoming a true specialist when it comes to wedding ceremonies. It also has allowed me to become precise and accomplished at perfectly blending the stages and customizing your ceremony music to your personal taste. You'll love the results.

Audio Sound Exclusivly for Ceremonies

Aesthetics at your ceremony site is going to be important, that's why my equipment is replaced if scratched or ends up with some type of physical damage. My speakers and audio sound system is updated, sleek, compact, unobtrusive and clean looking. My speakers and power cables are kept hidden and kept tidy. Other DJs are known to show up to DJ ceremonies with banged up and scratched up speakers and sound systems looking more like a pile of junk with equipment that is beat to heck and looks like it would be more at home in a land fill than a ceremony site. Not a good look for anyone's wedding and definitely not yours.

Also unlike other disc jockeys who use large booming dance floor speakers, my ceremony system speakers are more smaller compared to my reception speakers for a more appropriate and tasteful look for your ceremony. However, the sound is still crisp, full, rich, and live-like even with using these smaller sized speakers systems because of today's amazing breakthrough advancements in audio technology.

Playing music for a ceremony entails a lot of work.  There is carrying in the sound equipment, setting up all the equipment along with finding onsite electrical power, running power cables and speaker cables, testing, and break-down and carrying the equipment back out. This system includes JBL EON G10 professional series speakers, black tripod telescoping speaker stands, a small mixing console, amplifier, a black console stand, macbook pro, wireless microphone receiver and microphone, and other necessary equipment and cable, but once again all in a tidy appropriate tasteful look.

Selecting Your Ceremony Music

If you would like to research some ideas for your ceremony music you can take a look at your own personal music library. You'll be shocked at how there likely are songs that mean something to you. If you need more music ideas you can brows through iTunes. Would you prefer more traditional ceremony songs, modern songs, rock, country, current or classic love songs, beach style songs, or whatever fits your style or your wedding theme?

If you would like to sample music that was specifically created for wedding ceremonies, you can search iTunes or Amazon mp3 page with the words Wedding Ceremony. You can enter Vitamin String Quartet for a search since they have modern rock songs they have recreated with a string ensemble that is recorded with amazing quality that some couples like to have played as their pre-ceremony music as guests arrive.
Music Layered On The Progression

I play each songs according to visual queues of who I see approaching the ceremony site at each stage of your ceremony. No one in your wedding party has to even think about the music that day, since your music is being layered on top of the progression of your ceremony. This can all be easily planned by using the Ceremony Planner, which there is a link to above the rose on this page.

If one of the stages in your ceremony is delayed or takes longer than expected, it won't become a problem since I can seamlessly loop a song back into itself again by looping the song back into the middle of the song rather than the beginning where the extension of the song will go unnoticed by guests. Additionally, I can softly and smoothly fade out at any part of a song that may be too long for a particular stage.

During your ceremony I will be attending the volume of the music in order to emphasize the progressive each stage and in order to compensate for outside or unexpected environmental noise.

Ceremony Microphone

Having the voices of those in your ceremony heard will greatly enhance the overall experience of your ceremony for your guests and add to their enjoyment by being able to hear the words spoken. This is especially needed if your ceremony is in a place where environmental noises might obstruct guests from hearing.

If you request this service, a very small wireless microphone is clipped on your officiatorÂ’s jacket or robe with the battery transmitter clipped on their waistband or put in their pocket out of sight. The microphone will pick up in a three foot radius and will pick up your officiatorÂ’s voice as well as your vows if standing within this range. Also available upon request is a wireless hand held microphone on a stand for ceremonial readings or singing. (Near waterways, bays, airports and military installations strong radio interference is common, where outside wireless microphone systems can be greatly effected by static during a ceremony. If this is known prior to an outdoor ceremony, wired microphones would be used in place of wireless microphone system's).
Ceremony Site

I set up my ceremony audio system and speakers towards the back of the seating area or the back side area, this way me and my sound equipment aren't staring back at your guests disrupting their view and distracting their attention, and also so that I don't accidentally end up in your wedding ceremony pictures. DJs are known to insist on placing their speakers on each side of the bride and groom and setting up the equipment facing guests where they can be seen. The problem with this is that they divert guests' attention, obstruct the guests view of the surrounding area, and sometimes end up in couples wedding ceremony pictures.
Ceremony Music Start Time

It's not mandatory, but it's a good idea to start the music around a half hour before the time on your invitations since some guest will arrive up to a half hour before the stated start time on your invitations. Guests will trickle in the 30 minutes leading up the ceremony start time. This gives the area where your ceremony is a more eventful feel when guests arrive and wait. This way the pre-ceremony music will set the stage and give the feeling that your guests are in fact arriving to something special.
